Juan Carlos Perez Ferretti
Chief Executive Manager
Mr. Pérez-Ferretti has extensive experience from the shipping industry and has been with the Ultranav group since 1994, coming from the cabotage subsidiary Antares Naviera in Argentina, where he was Senior Vice President. He has been in Chile since 2005, taking different management positions in cabotage trades, gas, clean petroleum products and chemicals, and in 2020, he was promoted to CEO of Ultratank. Mr. Perez-Ferretti graduated from the blue MBA in 2021, the executive MBA program from Copenhagen Business School. Mr. Perez-Ferretti is an Argentinean citizen and resides in Santiago with his family.
Senior General Manager – Head of Chartering
Mr. Abadie joined the Ultramar group in Buenos Aires in 2003 initially as a Trainee in the Freight Forwarding division and then worked as Ship Operator in the Agency Business. In 2011, he joined Ultranav and relocated to Santiago, where he gained extensive experience in shipping, working first in Operations for the clean tankers and then in Chartering for the chemical operation. In 2019, Mr. Abadie was appointed Head of Chartering for Chemical Tankers. He holds a Bachelor in International Relations and a Master in Business Administration. Mr. Abadie is fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese and German. He is an Argentinean citizen and resides in Chile with his family.
Juan Pablo Guidugli
Senior General Manager – Head of Projects & Business Development
Mr. Guidugli joined the Ultranav group in Chile during 2005 where he gained extensive experience in shipping working in different positions in tankers, chemicals and gas. In 2012, he relocated to Denmark to lead the chartering desk of Ultragas ApS and in 2018 was appointed Chief Commercial Officer. In January 2021, he relocated back to Chile where he joined Ultratank as Head of Projects and Business Development. Mr. Guidugli holds a Master in Industrial Engineering and an Executive MBA, and most recently he finalized the Management Acceleration Program at INSEAD School in France. Mr. Guidugli has dual Italian/Chilean citizenship and resides in Santiago with his family.
General Manager – Head of Operations
Mr. Rubio joined the Ultranav group via Humboldt Shipmanagement in 1995, where he gained extensive on board experience, handling the operation of tankers, chemicals and gas carrier as Junior and Chief Officer. He has more than 10 years of sailing experience in chemical tankers. In 2008, Mr. Rubio joined the Ultranav office as Operator in the Clean Product fleet, and during his career, he has been Operator and Head of Operations of Costal fleet, Pool Fleet and since 2016, he oversees the Operational Team of Chemical Tankers fleet. Mr. Rubio hold a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and resides in Chile with his family.

Business Support Manager
Mr. Covacevich joined the Ultranav group in Chile in 2011 in a trainee programme for one year and has held different positions within the Group thereafter. He has a financial and analytical background from several positions, including Business Analyst in Transmares from 2012 to 2014, Business Analyst in Ultrabulk in Copenhagen from 2014 to 2017 and most recently as Business Development & Planning Manager from 2017 to 2018 and Senior Financial & Development Manager from 2018 to 2019 in Ultranav group. He joined Ultratank in 2019 as Head of Analysis & Projects and then, in 2020 promoted to his current position as Business Support Manager. Mr. Covacevich studied Business Administration at Universidad Católica in Santiago, Chile. Mr. Covacevich has dual Chilean/Croatian citizenship and resides in Chile with his family.

Dag von Appen
Chairman of the Board
Mr. Dag von Appen is Chairman of the Board of Ultranav and Board Member of Ultramar, both 3rd generation agency and shipowning family companies with regional presence and international expansion. Mr. von Appen has held several senior executive positions within the companies, working in Chile and prior to it, for several years in different countries, with associated enterprises in the shipping industry. He holds a degree in Economics from the Universidad de Chile in Santiago and also completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School of Boston (USA). Mr. Dag von Appen is a Chilean and German citizen and resides in Chile.
Per von Appen
Mr. Vermeij has more than 30 years of working experience, holding different management positions in Chile, Argentina and Peru. Mr. Vermeij has been part of the Ultramar/Ultranav group for about 18 years. In 2007, he was appointed Executive Vice President of Petrolera Transoceanica, an important shipping company based in Peru. In 2009, he came back to Chile being designated CEO of Ultratug, the Ultranav’s tugboat company with operations in 8 countries in South America. In 2014, he assumed the responsibility to lead Ultramar group of companies holding the position of CEO. In 2018, Mr. Jan Vermeij re-joined Ultranav as COO, and in 2021, he became the new CEO. Mr. Vermeij has a Bachelor of Arts degree (Economics major) from the Occidental College – Los Angeles, California, U.S.A. and a post-graduated in Business Administration from Universidad Adolfo Ibañez – Santiago, Chile. Mr. Vermeij is a Chilean citizen and resides in Chile.
Mr. Csaszar started his shipping career with the company in 1986 and has since then carried out several duties in various positions within the Group. Since 2002 he has held senior management positions as Executive Vice President at Petrolera Transoceanica, Peru and as CEO of SONAP, Chile. Mr. Csaszar has a diploma as qualified shipping businessman from Insalco, Chile / Chamber of Commerce Hamburg, and holds a degree in business administration from DAV-Foreign Trade and Transport Academy of Bremen, Germany. In addition he completed executive development programs PED at IMD, Switzerland and AMP at Harvard Business School, USA. Mr. Csaszar is a Chilean citizen and resides in Chile.
