Cape Tankers was incorporated in 1995 and has grown to become an important global player in the transportation of crude oil and DPP. The company initiated its activities by managing a fleet of 15 Panamax vessels and today operates a fleet of about 40 vessels.
In 2005 Cape Tankers was appointed to manage all commercial and operational activities for Panamax International (PI).
Panamax International is a Joint Venture formed by members EP Flopec, OSG and Ultranav. Its fleet is one of the largest dirty Panamax trading platforms, providing flexible, cost efficient and reliable transportation.
In 2013 Cape Tankers was appointed as commercial coordinator for Andes Tankers, a partnership between EP Flopec and Ultranav which controls a fleet of 8 Aframax tankers and offers customers added flexibility for their transportation needs.

We believe in creating flexible, reliable and safe transportation solutions that serve customers needs. We strive to maintain a balanced approach of Spot and COA commitments. Some of our COA’s have been successfully maintained for periods exceeding 10 years.
